Badghis people supporting President’s program

KABUL: Badghisi people have expressed wide support to the country’s president’s programs and during a meeting attended by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, on his second day of visit to the western province, they said the country’s leadership’s infrastructural programs were praiseworthy, The Presidential Press Office said in a statement the other day.
Addressing a meeting attended by the provincial governor, head of the provincial council and the provincial director of women affairs, the president said he was proud being called as Badghisi. “Your voice was not heard in the past, but now your voice are heard and your demands are being met.”
The President said that social justice, rule of law and balanced development have been the government’s important plans and the inauguration of the Qala-e-Naw power sub-station, the Badghisi people will not be in darkness.
He once again reassured to fight anyone using power and reiterated that Badghis was too important for Afghanistan and the region.
The president went on as saying that work on Qaisar-Laman road would be launched and no delay would be acceptable and that work on the Qades Dam would begin within three months, the statement quoted.
On peace talks, the president said the process was not only the responsibility of the government but needed a share of the people as well.
According to him, the ground was fully prepared for the youths to join a national and constructive discussion about the upcoming election.
He said up to 35 million afs have been allocated for the expansion of the Badghis Masque and asked the governor’s coordination with the related organs to spend the money in this field, the statement quoted.
According to him, a public library would also be built in the province and that security in the province, particularly in the remote restive districts, would also be restored.
