“Land usurpers to be seriously treated,” President Ghani

KABUL: In a meeting with Kabul districts’ governors, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani talked over security problems, achievements, reforms, ceasefire and peace process, the Presidential Palace said in a statement on Tuesday.
The meeting held at the presidential palace, where Kabul governor Mohammad Yaqoub Haidari briefed the session about general situation of the capital.
He said in compare with the past, the districts’ security situation was being improved and the people interest to participate in national processes has been increasing, according to the statement.
Afterward, Kabul 14 districts’ governors separately shared their problems and suggestions on improving security situation, presence of irresponsible armed men, increasing security forces’ number in a number of Kabul districts, unemployment, buildings for schools, boosting development projects, lack of health facilities, asphalted roads and land usurpation by powerful figures, the statement added.
After hearing the participants’ problems and suggestions, addressing Kabul governor and districts’ governors, President Ghani said the main problem within the districts was lack of coordination among administrations, thus, a specific differentiation must be created in the respect.
Pointing at unprofessional police force in districts, the president instructed the local organs independent administrations, head of presidential administration affairs and Kabul governor to prepare an all-out draft to improve coordination in third units’ administrations.
Likewise, President Ghani instructed Kabul districts’ governors to create people councils in their districts and in consultation with local people, prepare a draft to decrease unemployment and curb water and send it to the presidential office.
To improve security situation in Kabul districts, the president instructed the security in-charges to jointly arrange a security draft and stressed that land usurpers must be seriously treated.
At the end, the president tasked Kabul governor to arrange the districts schools’ list so they include in the list of building 6000 schools expected to be built within the next two years by using prefabricated parts.
