Taliban militants suffer heavy casualties in Takhar clashes

At least twenty one Taliban militants were killed or wounded during separate clashes with the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in northeastern Takhar province of Afghanistan.
The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North said the latest clashes took place in the vicinity of Baharak district. According to a statement released by Shaheen Corps, at least three Taliban militants were killed and at least five others sustained injuries during the clashes.
The statement further added that the clashes took place in Jat Gul Qeshlaq, Pika Tapa, and Pul Mohammad Alam areas of Baharak district. In the meantime, 20th Pamir Division in a statement said at least six militants have been killed and seven others have sustained injuries during the operations and airstrike in Khwajah Ghar district.
