‘Sport helps us grow mentally, physically’

Born in 1359 solar year, Mohammad Yousuf is from eastern Nangarhar province and a member of SLFC organization as well as a coach in Muay Thai.
He had studied his higher education in Sharia faculty for two years, but due to problems and exercises he could not continue that.
At the outset, he said, “Due to my enthusiasm in sport, first, I had started volleyball under supervision of coach Wahid.”
In 139, I had professionally started kickboxing under supervision of Master Najibullah Sultani, he said, adding in 1381-1385 I got kickboxing national team membership and had been the champion in weight 80 kg.
“I have received four gold medals from Olympic National Team competitions and four gold medals from Kabul selective competitions,” he said.
He pointed out I have received a silver medal in Asiancompetitions hosted by Uzbekistan.
About what has caused him to change his sport field, he said, “Muay Thai is a martial arts sport, and I decided to professionally continue it. Finally, in 1385, I gained Muay Thai national team membership.”
He added I had gone to Thailand for a month, and fortunately, I could get my coaching diploma.
Now, I am a coach in ‘Fight Night’ competitions program, he stated.
At the end, he said, “I recommend our youth, to do sport, because, it can help them not to be afflicted with different types of diseases.”
