KABUL: First Cheshtia Series World Conference held in Herat on Sunday, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
The conference was held by Afghanistan and India foundation aimed to further recognize Sufism and Gnosticism and Cheshtia doctrine, the agency further said. As a special guest in the conference, deputy minister of information and culture on publication affairs Fazel Sancharaki said, “Today’s world has remained far from spirits and this is while that information globalization has drawn us toward materials and banished us from spiritual and historical values. Besides growing extremism has caused extremist groups’ growth and Talibanism which has disturbed the world and region.”
He added presenting real face of Islam and spirits is the best way to get rid of extremism and Talibanism.
Herat provincial governor Mohammad Asif Rahimi called holding such conferences effective in boosting deep relations between followers of different religions. He added Cheshtia series has been the most effective Sufism series in promotion of Islam in India.
Likewise, the researchers read out their research articles on Sufism and Gnosticism as well as Cheshtia doctrine.
The conference was attended by scholars, researchers, culturists, poets, Afghanistan and India universities’ lecturers and some other government and regional countries’ officials.
