Arghawan Festival held in Parwan
 CHARIKAR: In the presence of over 3000 guests, 6th National Judas (Gul Arghawan) Flower Festival held in Parwan the other day, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
Attended by provincial governor Gen. Fazeluddin Rahman Ayar, deputy minister of information and culture on administrative, finance and tourism affairs Associated Prof. Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi, people representatives in national assembly, government and cultural figures from different provinces, the festival held in Charikar, BNA further said. 
Parwan governor Gen. Ayar said as the people of Afghanistan have always fought invaders over the last four decades, today, they support their historical culture and national identity by knowledge, adding holding such festivals indicate unity and brotherhood among different tribes of the country, the agency added. 
Talking on historical background of traditional festivals, deputy MoIC Prof. Mostafavi said holding such festivals would provide the ground for cooperation and sound internal competitions, BNA continued. 
Kabul governor Mohammad Yaqoub Haidari, CE senior advisor Nasrin Arezo and some other officials also spoke about importance and value of National Purple Flower Festival, the agency went on to say.
