President Ghani meets some Paktia youths, civil society activists

KABUL: A statement from the Presidential Press Office said that President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Monday with a number of youth and civil society activists of Pakteya province. The president, after hearing their suggestions in different fields, particularly, the establishment of an institute for the capacity building of the youth, better management of the natural resources, role of the youth in the future elections, pledged to do more for the youth, through a transparent process, said the statement.
“Cadres should be appointed based on transparency and clear standards, the country’s education should be helped stand on its feet,” said the president as quoted in the statement. The president thanked people of Pakteya for their hard work in development of their province and said the province would turn into an economic zone, the statement added.
He said: “We have national will for peace and in this respect, we have convinced the international community,” the statement said. 
According to the statement, the president instructed the related organs for launching research into the terrorist attack on the provincial police headquarters of the province and provide report to the National Security Council meeting and share it with the people of Pakteya.
