President Ghani meets Ghor elders, youth representatives

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met yesterday with a number of elders, dignitaries and youth of Ghor and heard their demands and suggestions.
In the meeting held at Chahar Chenar Palace of Arg, first an elder of the province Amanullah Akhlaqi spoke and by expressing his support from the government’s social and economic development praised the country’s President for breaking geographical prison of central areas.
“You believe in balance development and we are praising you for political partnership, good governance and absorption of professional youth in government military and civil institutions,” Amanullah Akhlaqi told the President.
Afterwards, a representative of Ghor people in Wolisi Jirga Ruqia Nayel spoke and shared suggestions in absorption of professional and young cadres in government institutions and construction of Ferozkoh – Herat road.
After hearing their suggestions and demands, the country’s President said that the issue of Lal-e-Surjangal roads would be followed by ministry of public works and would be informed.
In connection with demand of the people of Ghor in better maintaining security in the province, President Ghani said that military organs were instructed to launch military operations in insecure areas of the province so that the situation be changed in the province.
The country’s President said that all administrative vacant posts in provinces were reviewed through Independent Administrative Reforms and Civil Services and clear standards of local governance would be specified.
