President Ghani receives outgoing Indian ambassador

 KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, met with the outgoing Indian Ambassador, Manpreet Vohra at the Char Chanar Palace, where he conferred him the Ghazi Mir Masjedi Khan state medal, the presidential Press Office said in a statement Sunday.
The meeting took place late on Saturday night, and the president thanked the outgoing ambassador for his hard work toward strengthening and expansion of political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries, the statement said.
The president also thanked him for his country’s cooperation in the infrastructural projects and the friendly country’s gratitude commitments to Afghanistan, at the Brussels Conference, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, Mr. Vohra thanked the president for conferring the medal and said during his tenure in Afghanistan, he had done much for boosting relations between the two countries.
