NSA meets Secretary of China’s Central Political & Legal Affairs Commission
 KABUL: Afghanistan National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar during his three-day visit to China met with Chinese National Security Advisor and Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Guo Shengkun the other day.
In the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between Afghanistan and China as well as a range of urgent steps towards security and stability in the region. Mohammad Hanif Atmar said that a range of cooperation should be accelerated in the framework of strategic partnership for counterterrorism and peace and stability. Praising China for its cooperation in Afghanistan peace process, Atmar asked for further cooperation in peace process and absorption of regional countries’ support in this regard. Both sides also discussed “one way one belt” project and its economic importance as well as economic development.
The Chinese National Security Advisor and Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Guo Shengkun said that his country would further cooperate with Afghan security forces in counter terrorism effort and informed of his country’s readiness and overall assistance to peace process, strengthening of regional consensus and economic development and trade.
