 KABUL: During his visit to New York, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani met UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported the other day. 
Thanking UN continued support and cooperation from the government and people of Afghanistan, Minister Rabbani said, ‘Kabul Process and Tashkent meetings is a great opportunity to Taliban to stop violence and join peace process,’ the agency added. 
Mr. Guterres assured of his entity’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan and expressed his support from Kabul Process and Tashkent meetings, BNA went on to say.
Stating that Afghanistan has expanded its relations with Central Asian countries more than before and signed many economic and transit agreements, Minister Rabbani clarified UN can play key role in bringing peace and ensuring security in the region and Afghanistan, BNA continued. 
He asked UN secretary general to provide the ground for Afghan experts and professional individuals to work in UN entities.
