 KABUL: The Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met Vinay Kumar, new ambassador of India in his office at the Sapidar Palace, a statement said.
The Chief Executive congratulated Kumar on his new mission and wished him success in his new responsibility in Afghanistan and consolidation of relations between India and Afghanistan. The Chief Executive called India one of the close friends and allies of Afghanistan whose relations has always been friendly and based on common values. The Chief Executive also expressed his gratitude to India for its contributions to Afghanistan according to its priorities. Thanking the Chief executive, Ambassador Kumar expressed hope that, during his mission in Afghanistan, he would be able to take further steps towards improvement of relations between the two countries. Calling relations of the two countries good, Kumar reassured of continuing assistance and presence of India in Afghanistan.
