CE to Farah governor: Prioritize maintaining security & fighting drought

CE to Farah governor: Prioritize maintaining security & fighting drought
 KABUL: Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in telephone contact with Farah governor Abdul Basir Salangi reviewed and discussed security situation of the province.
In the telephone conversation, the country’s chief executive reviewed and scrutinized recent changes in the province in particular security issues, drought and highways, needs of affected families and problems of the people. Governor of Farah Abdul Basir Salangi reported about security measures, enemies’ motivations in some areas, needs of security forces and challenges to chief executive.
Salangi also briefed related to programs of local government in connection with increasing revenues, counter corruption and narcotics, delivering better public services, aid delivery to affected families and education.
After hearing the governor’s visions and report, the country’s chief executive instructed the governor and local officials of Farah to pay most of their attention for improvement of security situation and suppressing the enemies. Chief executive also stressed on urgently implementation of the government’s programs in fighting drought, prevention from livestock losses, distribution of forage, strengthening of agriculture and close cooperation with the people. Dr. Abdullah Abdullah tasked local officials of Farah to take more serious steps for delivering better services, addressing problems of affected people, delivering urgent aids to drought-affected and counter corruption and narcotics.
