Impartial attorney important for Afghanistan’s security, stability, President Ghani

 KABUL: Addressing the national conference on prevention of violence against women at the presidential Palace, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani congratulated recruitment of new attorneys, in particular appointment of 93 female attorneys.
“Your united vision would stance against any kind of violence,” President Ghani told the new male and female attorneys, the presidential press office said in a statement.
Praising their efforts forjustice, rule of law and transparency, President Ghani said attorney general’s impartiality was important, adding their works were not only limited to the attorney general, but to Islamic sharia and the justice, as without justice their would be no discipline in the universe, the statement added.
“You have a got a good gift today which is the holy Quran. I always refer to it. The enemies cannot be obstacle before my will, and the same should be with you,” the president added.

Hinting to role of women within society, the president told the women that they should restore the situation in upcoming four years which they have lost it in the last four decades.
Addressing the new recruited attorneys, President Ghani said his message should be delivered to the people thatelections to be held and they need to attend the national process.
Meanwhile Attorney General Farid Hamidi emphasized on importance of justice, hoping the new 242 recruited, which among them 93 are female, bring about new opportunities for women to have access to justice and their rights.
He also went on saying that attorneys’ practical works and studies were only limited to Kabul previously, but now they have studies only two months in Kabul and passed the rest of eight months in their respected provinces which could be a great achievement.
He also said attorneys to serve those 17 districts which didn’t have attorneys and 50 other districts to also have attorneys soon, adding 29 provinces to have attorneys for prevention of violence against womenin the near future.
The national conference was also attended by First Lady Rula Ghani, senior government officials and attorneys at Char Chenar palace of Arg here yesterday.
