 KABUL: Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the High Economic Council (HEC) held meeting the other day during which the draft for construction of TIR parks, Afghanistan’s TIR report in Arg, the report on ground transportationsystem of tasked delegation on GEOKIM Company in Abdu Nasr-e-Farahi Port and public and private partnership projects’ strategy, the presidential palace said in a statement. 
At the outset, the report on ground transportation system and establishment of TIR parks was separately presented by the transport ministry’s in-charges, according to the statement.  
Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah, minister of public works, head of international chamber of commerce and deputy to chamber of commerce and industries shared their views in the respect, the statement further said. 
CE Abdullah said the ground transportation system (TIR) needed more works, adding in coordination with transport sector, the ministry of transport should divide the tasks, the statement added.
Afterward, the president said the chamber of commerce and industries have worked on this for three years and it enjoys good experiences, adding joint works should be done with the chamber to achieve a clearroadmap, the statement went on to say. 
“Current transport sector is not responder and the sector should be given information about TIR system. Therefor, a motivation should be created so the private transport sector matches itself with the system and shares its suggestions,” the president said.
CE Abdullah and deputy to chamber of commerce and industries said work on ground transportation and construction of parks should be started at the same time. The president said work on construction of parks should start sooner. 
The meeting decided that the ministries of public works, transport and land authority to specify the spots for construction of TIR parks along the highways and budget should be existed for its design. 
Likewise, Naqibullah Faeq head of standard and norm administration presented the tasked delegation’s report on GEOKIM Company in Abu Nasr-e-Farahi Port and said the delegation has confirmed the company’s existence in the mentioned port and checked the oils’ lab.
The president said the report would somewhat remove the accusations and the company can attend in biddings and continue its work.
The public and private partnership projects’ strategy along with a list of private and public partnership projects were also presented by the finance ministry’s in-charges in the meeting. 
The president said currently the ground was not paved to approve all projects, adding each project should be divided based on their sectors and to be discussed in the presence of related ministersduring separate meetings.
