More should be done for Museums Prof. Bawari

  KABUL: Prof. Mohammad Rassoul Bawari, the Minister of Information and Culture, in a meeting marking the International Museums Day said that museums needed more attention, BNA reported the other day.  The ceremony was attended by a number of the ministry’s high ranking officials including directors and advisors and some other state officials, men of culture and foreign guests in Kabul, said the agency.
He said museums were in fact, the training and research institutes, which, not only provide the development and advancement of their staffs, but also through their visitors and their relics can display the development of the human society, said the agency.
“By having the museums contents, we can see our Islamic Identity,” the agency quoted.
Pointing to the professionalization of the county’s museums’s officials, the minister said they needed more help particularly in the field of professionalized cadres.
He hoped to provide ground for professionalization of the youths working for the country’s museums.
Head of UNESCO in Kabul, also spoke in the ceremony and said museums indicate the identity of a country and more should be done for their development, according to the agency.
