Handicrafts; symbol of traditional culture

The role of handicrafts as an independent native and pure sacred industry is clear to all due to its cultural, economic and social aspects. Today, tourists all over the world are interested to purchase handicrafts products. Because the tourism industry helps growth and development of handicrafts. Even in some countries tourism and handicrafts have been merged or operating in close coordination.

Efforts and endeavors on recognition of the ways of development of old rural handicrafts of Afghanistan at national and international level, assessment of its relations with attraction of tourists and its income creation aspect, is the most important principle of rural development but so far it has not been tackled sufficiently.
Rural development is improvement factor of living condition of rural inhabitants and their self-sufficiency in the general process of national development. This self-sufficiency is part of programs of employment creation and sustainable rural development is one of the objectives of employment creation. Tackling of domestic products handicrafts together with tourism industry and creation of occupation including supply of domestic product would result in reduction of rural migration to cities. It introduces ancient and attractive villages to different provinces.
No doubt there is direct relation between rural handicrafts, attraction of tourism and creation of employment opportunities.
One important aspect of sustainable development is emphasizing on local tourism. This method of tourism emphasizes on involvement of local community in planning and development of tourism. It develops that kind of tourism that results to the interests of rural areas and local community.
This method uses tactics that mostly through them, the benefits of tourism development improves income of rural inhabitants.
The Afghan handicrafts is the manifestation of art, culture and ancient civilization of this old Asian territory that simply sinks and influences the soul of every visitor and tourist in its elegance.
Development and investment on handicrafts is important as a cheap and suitable way for creation of employment. Because with slight investment and exploitation of available local materials as well as preservation of local traditions, not only we can decrease the large number of unemployed rurals but also can cause attraction of tourists to interesting laces and their introduction.
Generally, rural tourism takes shape in those places that contain more traditional peculiarities than urban environments. Because as much as rural areas are more traditional, they attract further tourists. But sometimes in order a rural area or village seem more traditional, investment must take place in it and all its constructions,  buildings and facilities should be traditionally rehabilitated.
Unfortunately, lack of investment allocation for rebuilding of rural areas to be acceptable for tourism and tourists and development and supply of local handicrafts, have prevented attraction of tourists. Therefore for removal of this problem we should find such reasonable solutions to witness increasing and quick development of tourism in villages of Afghanistan.
