365 greenhouses planned for Kabul, provinces

365 greenhouses planned  for Kabul, provinces
 Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock have announced that they have created 365 greenhouses for women farmers in the center and provinces of the country.
Sayed Rahman Sadat, in charge of the Agriculture City of Household Economy for the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and Irrigation (MoAIL) in an interview with The Kabul Times reporter said on the importance of the Ministry of Agriculture’s programs in the empowerment of women farmers, the purpose of the Ministry of Agriculture’s household economy program is how we can help women in agriculture, livestock and horticulture sectors.
Creation of greenhouses is part of the Ministry’s plans for women in the center and provinces of the country, where we built a drip system in these greenhouses, where women can grow their vegetables, then cultivate their products collect and sell it in the market. This greenhouse is about 110 square meters and it is a quite large space and ready to grow any kind of vegetables, Sadat stated.
The creation of greenhouses for women farmers is useful and hundred percent they can supply their products in the market.
Besides establishing of greenhouses for women, also solar drying machines are distributed to dry their vegetables within three to four days and supply it into the market, Sadat continued.
Sadat went on  to say that in every greenhouses 10 to 15 women are jointly working and collect their products with the cooperation of group members supply it to market and divide the obtained money with each other.
According to Sadat working groups are established in 34 provinces of the country, where in Herat province 10 to 12 groups which is consist of 10 to 15 women are operational in agricultural activities.
Meanwhile, other small and large projects for the empowerment of women farmers, including fruit and food processing, have been considered by the Department of Agriculture, that practically a large number of women farmers are involved in these projects. 
MoAIL is making efforts to solve the women challenges that are faced in marketing section and in packaging and processing section this ministry has further cooperated with them.
While, the empowerment programs of women not only make them self-sufficient, but also they become responsive, till the responsibilities that they have towards their families also be  solved.
