Increasing hopes as IEC announced delayed election date

Increasing hopes as  IEC announced delayed election date
 After brawls took place on holding elections, finally the Independent Election Commissions (IEC) has proclaimed that the parliament and District Councils’ elections would be held in Oct. 20th of current year.
Deputy of Independent Election Commission Mrs. Wasima Badghisi told The Kabul Times reporter in the connection that all preparations have been taken by the commission for holding election on its due time.
At the same time, the international community also laying emphasize on timely holding parliament elections and says that holding parliamentary election in Oct. 20th of current year is a red line for government of Afghanistan and regards its redelaying as unpleasant.
Similarly, while the European Union (EU) welcoming the proclamation of date for holding elections say that this union allotted 15 million euro for holding of parliamentary and district councils elections of Afghanistan.
  The ambassador of European Union in Kabul has said that the parliamentary and district councils’ elections of Afghanistan should be held in 2018.
The office of Chief Executive also assured about complete readiness of government for holding parliamentary and district councils’ elections.
Deputy spokesperson of office of chief executive, Jawaid Faisal in the connection said that in section of finance and security, the government has taken its preparedness and this is a need to the elections to be held. If the elections not to be held, it would be harmful for Afghanistan, but politically, government has complete determination.
At the same time, a number of witnesses also regard holding timely elections was a dire need for Afghanistan and laying emphasize that efforts should be made the elections be held on its due time, Head of Afghanistan Transparent Elections Foundation, Naim Ayoub also laying emphasize on timely holding of election, said that if the elections not to be held on its due time, the trust between people, government and elections commissions would disappear.
Ayoub also believes that fraud in presidential and provincial councils’ elections would cause the reduction and scratch of people’s trust and civil society on elections commissions and this incharge of Afghanistan Transparent Election Foundation laid emphasize on fundamental and structural reforms of elections commissions.
Similarly the free and fair election institution of Afghanistan laying emphasize that one of serious amendment in election system is this that the election commissions should be responsible before people and parliament.
The free and fair election institution of Afghanistan said that the election commissions should respond people about their activities. Because, the election commissions respond people about their activities. Because, the election commissions are not the only incharge for holding transparent elections and a mechanism should be established that the local authorities, powerful individuals and armedmen not to meddle in election process.
A witness in political affairs, Akbar Ihsas says that the elections of 2014 of Afghanistan was one of controversial elections in the history of Afghanistan that finally as a result of mediation of State Secretary of the US, the national unity government has been formed and now, it is expected the election system of Afghanistan be the witness of reformation and the people of Afghanistan also rebuild their lost trust regarding the election commissions.  
A political witness, Amir Mohammad believes that one of controversial issues of past elections was lack of fixed figure of voters and there were some claims that in some districts the ballots were more than the population.
This political witness adds that providing the list of voters would be part of solution of election problems in short time but the electronic IDs should be distributed for people as soon as possible so that any kind of fraud be prevented in election process.
These witnesses say that changing of electoral system is also one of the reforms that can build the trust of people for going to ballot boxes in upcoming elections and on the other, the system of election commissions should be changed.
This is in a time that so far, the people of Afghanistan experienced three times the presidential and provincial councils elections and elect their leader by their own vote.
