1,000 families displaced in Ghor

FEROZKOH: More than 1,000 families have been displaced from various parts of Ghor due to recent skirmishes erupted between armed insurgents and Afghan security forces.
According to head of refugees and repatriates department in Ghor Abdul RabGhafoori, recent insecurities in a number of districts of Ghor have caused that a large number of people leave their houses and resettle in provincial capital.
He concerned over increasing of displacement of the people as a number of families have left their homes due to increasing drought in the province. He further said that his department was making effort to convince welfare organizations to cooperate in this regard as some families were provided assistance.
