Art, culture play key role in bolstering Afghan-China bilateral ties: Minister Safi

KABUL: In a meeting with Charge de Affairs of Chinese Embassy in Kabul, acting and nominee minister of information and culture Ms. Hasina Safi emphasized on strengthening bilateral cultural ties between the two countries, BNA reported yesterday.
Both sides discussed surveying of the archaeological sites in Badakhshan’s Wakhan by the two countries’ archaeologists, holding of cultural week of Afghanistan-China and role of the Silk Route, the agency added.
Meanwhile charge de affairs of Chinese embassy in Kabul assured of his country’s further cultural cooperation with Afghanistan.
Praising Chinese support of Afghanistan in different spheres, including that of culture and peace, Ms. Safi said culture and art were playing key role in bolstering bilateral cultural ties between the two countries.
