NUG leaders meet Pak foreign minister

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with Pakistani foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Quraishi at the Gul Khana Palace, the Presidential Press Office said Saturday.

Both sides exchanged views on various issues including security, regional peace and stability, join war on terrorism and implementation of Afghanistan-Pakistan action plan, the office said in a statement released to media.

Pointing to the importance of implementation of Afghanistan and Pakistan action plan, the president said: “The plan is comprehensive and its effectiveness would be focused, once was put into practice and fully implemented.”

Besides, discussing on the development of the Afghan-Pak action plan for peace and solidarity and Pakistan’s support to an Afghan led and Afghan owned peace process, both sides emphasized on its inclusive implementation, during their meeting.

The National Unity Government Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah also met with the Pakistani foreign minister, at the Spidar Palace, where he assured of his country’s new government commitment for improvement of situation and relation between the two countries.
