Afghan commandos kill 12 Taliban in Parwan raid

CHARIKAR: Afghan special forces have killed 12 Taliban militants in an operation in central Parwan province, an official said Tuesday.
The raid happened in Kafshan valley of Qole Heyr in Ghorband district. It started 10:30p.m. Monday and ended 5:00a.m. on Tuesday, Wahida Shahkar, a spokesman for provincial governor, told local media.
She said that the group of militants killed were involved in bombings and attacks on security forces. Abdul Wahab Sangari, a militant commander, was also among the dead, Shahkar said.
