District governor in Herat killed by bomb in his office

HERAT: An Afghan district governor was killed after a bomb exploded in his office in western Herat province on Saturday, an official confirmed.
Amir Haft Bala was serving as the governor of Kuhsan district.
Two more were wounded in the explosion which happened around 2:30p.m., said Jelani Farhad, a spokesman for provincial governor.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing. Farhad described it as a terrorist attack, adding a delegation was dispatched for investigation. The violence comes a day after delegations from Afghanistan High Peace council and the Taliban attended a conference on peace in Moscow
