CE receives US special envoy for Afghanistan peace

KABUL: Chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met yesterday with US special envoy for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad at Sapidar palace.
In the meeting, US special envoy for Afghanistan peace briefed related to his visit to regional countries, saying that the US was committed to the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process.
Praising Zalmay Khalilzad and his colleagues for their efforts towards maintaining peace in Afghanistan, chief executive stressed on presence of the people and various fronts of Afghanistan in peace process.
