Procedures to legalize irresponsible armed groups approved

KABUL: Chaired by National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Muhib, the meeting of security sector was held Monday evening at the office of National Security Council.
In the meeting attended by members of the country’s defense and security sector, current security situation of the country including security situation of Ghazni, Faryab, Nangarhar and Farah was discussed.
Members of the country’s defense and security sector delivered the meeting their report in connection with achievements, security plans, threats, military operations and serious security steps taken for improvement of security in the country.
The meeting also discussed causes of increasing civilian casualties, stressing on seriously prevention of civilian casualties in the country.
After hearing security reports, National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Muhib by praising the country’s defense and security forces for their efforts in fighting enemies of the people of Afghanistan stressed on further coordination and cooperation between the country’s defense and security organs.
In the meeting, policy and procedures to legalize irresponsible armed groups and individuals were discussed and after delivering visions of the participants, the policy was approved in principle and it was determined that the policy would be soon presented for final approval to the National Security Council.
