Herat City: At least 30 armed oppositions were killed during clashes started between two groups of Taliban militants in western Herat province.
The clashes took place between fighters of Mullah Rasoul (Dissident of Taliban group) and Mullah Haibatullah leader of Taliban in Shindand district of Herat province.
Jilani Farhad spokesman of Herat governor told BNA reporter, the conflicts took place between members of Mullah Rasoul and Mullah Haibatullah, in which 30 insurgents from both sides were killed and hundreds families were forced to leave their houses. Dozens other militants from both sides were wounded during the conflicts as well. Herat has been among the relatively calm provinces in West of Afghanistan, but the security situation in some of its remote districts has started to deteriorate comparatively during the recent years. Insider clashes between Taliban militants is not a rare action, already several times clashes have been occurred among the terrorist group in Herat province, which caused casualties to civilians as well.
