Kabul siege ends after 20 hours

The Kabul standoff ended Tuesday afternoon after police arrested Tamim Shansab – whose house was under siege by government forces for at least 20 hours, sources said.
The source said that one person was killed and three others were wounded who might be from Shansab’s guards.
The wounded have been taken to hospital, the sources said.
Five of Shansab’s guards were arrested Monday night, sources added.
Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish confirms that Tamim Shansab along with 18 armed men were arrested and that security situation is under control in Kabul’s Shahr-e-Naw area.
Ministry of Interior said Monday that Shansab’s guards are equipped with heavy weapons and they were insisting until the house that they were in note registered to their name, they will resist and will not stop clash with security forces.
Security forces wanted to empty the house from Shansab after a court order and handed to other person but Shansab’s guard start clash with forces.
Yesterday on Monday when the clash started MoI said that one police killed and six other police wounded in the clash.
