President Ghani meets Spanish Defense Minister

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with Spanish Defense Minister, Ms. Maria Margarita Robles Fernandez at arg the other day, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
Attended by Spanish ambassador in Kabul, both sides exchanged views on bolstering bilateral relations, joint fighting terrorism, peace process and reforms in security and defense entities, the statement added.
Thanking President Ghani, the Spanish Defense Minister said your speech in Geneva Conference had a key and logic message for peace and the Spain government and people would support your efforts in this respect.
Stressing on women role in peace process, she said the government and people of Spain would stand by the people of Afghanistan.
Likewise, the president thanked that country’s assistances in different sections particularly in training of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces at the framework of Resolute Support mission. Pointing at reforms in security section and partaking of women and youth in this respect, the president said we were committed to maintain lasting peace in Afghanistan.
