Militants controlled areas should be retaken, VP Dostum

KABUL: First Vice-President, General Abdul Rashid Dostum, met with the country’s Head of National Directorate of Security, Mohammad Masoum Stanikzai and a number of Faryab provincial commanders at his office, on Monday, his office said in a statement.
Both sides exchanged views on security situation of the northern zone of the country, particularly Faryab province and emphasized on retaking the areas under the Taliban control, said the statement.
First Vice-President General Dostum instructed for deploying the armed men affiliated to the provincial commanders, who are fighting the enemy of the people of Afghanistan, in the framework of the local police and asked the local commanders to make their rows stronger and firmly stay against the enemy of the people of Afghanistan, the statement said.
