NPC approves 8 contracts worth over 1.7 billion Afghani

KABUL: Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurement Commission (NPC) held session on Tuesday, during which eight contracts worth over 1.7 billion Afghani were approved, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
Besides, the ministry of water and energy’s draft on establishing metal and thermal pipes production company was approved by the NPC, according to the statement.
Likewise, the ministry of public works presented the draft on contract extension of Sharena to Angou Hada road construction project length 50 km which was approved by the meeting.
At the same time, the civil aviation independent administration asked NPC to lower the construction price of Khost airport which was also approved by the meeting.
The meeting also approved the mines and petroleum ministry’s draft on signing the letter of engagement with a legal company ‘Hogan Lovells’. After discussions on the mentioned projects, the president stressed on further supervision on implementation of their execution. The Kabul Times
