Up to 4,000 IDPs to be provided with land plots

KABUL: The Executive Committee of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates held a meeting with Chief Executive, Dr Abdullah Abdullah on the chair, a statement from his office said Tuesday.
Attended the meeting, Minister of Refugees and Repatriates Affairs, Sayed Hussain Alemi Balkhi provided a report in which he said works were being done for providing land plots for the country’s displaced people and addressing their problems, said the statement.
“Land plots for up to 4,000 internally displaced people have been prepared and are ready for distribution and also in different provinces of the country, including Herat, Badghis and Ghor, IDPs are provided with financial aids and shelter and clothing have also been provided for them,” according to the statement.
The CE said a committee should be formed to assess the situation of the IDPs, seriously to provide them with necessary urgent aids, the statement added.
