President Ghani, CE Abdullah offer sincere condolence for Dr. Fayez demise

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah have expressed their grave sadness over the demise of the Dr. Mohammad Sharif Fayez who passed away due to critical illness, he was suffering few days ago, Bakhtar News Agency said Saturday.
In part of his massage, the country’s president said late Dr. Fayez has worked as the country’s minister of higher education and chief of the American University of Afghanistan and played his role as an educated teacher in enlightening the society and providing the young generation with the jewel of science and knowledge, the agency quoted.
“His death is a big tragedy for the scientific society of the country,” said the president.
The president prayed for his departed soul and great patience to his bereaved families, said the agency. The country Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah also expressed his deep condolence on the Dr. Fayez’s death and said he was the founder of the American University of Afghanistan and one of the country’s great scientific-cultural personality who passed away, recently. The CE said his demise was a big loss for the country’s cultural society. May his departed soul remain in peace.
