Dr. Abdullah praises NRC’s assistance to Afghan refugees

KABUL: Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with Norwegian Refugee Council’s (NRC) Secretary here in Sapidar Palace the other day, a statement said.
Norwegian Refugee Council’s Secretary briefed the CE on his institution’s programs and activities, in particular the assistance made so far for Afghan refugees, the statement from CE press office said.
“We have plan to continue our works and provide assistance to IDPs as well as appeal for those Afghan refugees residing abroad,” the secretary added. He also asked for government support of the programs.
Praising Norwegian Council’s assistance to Afghan IDPs and refugees, Dr. Abdullah thanked the institution’s close cooperation with Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates and the committee of migrants.
Welcoming the council’s programs, CE Abdullah promised government’s full support to the program, adding government was ready to ease activities of the council with Afghan refugees, the statement concluded.
