Govt. communications plan introduced

KABUL: During a press conference held in the government’s media information center, government communication plan for 1398 (solar year) was introduced, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported on Sunday.
The government’s communication plan aims to improve the delivering information situation and help ease access to information.
This is the government’s first annual delivering information plan that clarifies what the spokespersons should jointly do to help the government practice its priorities in 1398, the agency further said.
Likewise, the Strategic Communications Guidance would help offer an image of the government’s communication activities for the next five years. Appreciating the presidential spokesperson office for its recent step particularly in codification of the government’s communication plan, Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh said “we have not had such a document before. Operation of 1879 audiovisual and printing media shows that freedom of speech is in a good condition in the country, VP Danesh said.
He added the government’s leadership has always been making effort that freedom of speech to remain as a red line and not to be dealt with anything.
Considering the needs to boost the capacity of employees working in delivering information section of the ministries and provinces, the deputy presidential office on strategic communications and media, the presidential spokesperson office, the government’s media information center and press department have launched capacity building programs to accelerate delivering information and help coordinate the information, the presidential spokesperson Haroon Chakhansuri said.
He assured that the government was committed to share accurate information on-time, adding coordination among the spokespersons has also been improved.
