MoIC saddens by injuring a journalist in Helmand

KABUL: A journalist was injured in Helmand province on Tuesday, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
As a result of a mine explosion nearby Sabawoon TV, a TV’s journalist Nesar Ahmad Ahmadi was injured in the leg, the provincial governor spokesperson Mohammad Omar Zowak said, the agency added. He added the journalist shifted to Lashkargah hosptical and police have already started investigations in this regard.
Saddened by the incident, leadership of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) called those behind such incidents the enemies of freedom of speech and access to information’s right.
Sans any relations with any political groups or parties, journalists and media serve the people in delivering information and they always target those who are the enemy of the Afghan people, the ministry’s leadership said.
Flaying the incident, the ministry’s leadership wished immediate recovery to Nesar Ahmad Ahmadi.
