Pakistan respects Afghanistan’s sovereignty, FM Qureshi

KABUL: Afghan ambassador to Pakistan met the country’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi yesterday, a statement from Afghan embassy in Islamabad said.
Both sides discussed enhancing bilateral ties, Pakistan’s honest cooperation in peace process, Afghan refugees’ problems and other issues related to mutual interest, the statement added.
Pakistani FM provided detailed information regarding PM Imran Khan’s remarks, saying his country never wanted to interfere in Afghan affairs and Pakistan was respecting the Afghanistan national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He said such remarks would be prevented in the future. Meanwhile the two sides also discussed holding of joint Ulema conference, where FM Qureshi assures of his full cooperation in this regard, the statement added.
