Government introduces 250 member-delegation to Doha peace meeting

KABUL: The government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in a meeting announced the list of up to 250 people as members of the country’s delegation to participate in the peace meeting expected to be held in Qatar this week, a statement said Tuesday.
The delegation consisted of representatives from political parties, jihadi leaders, martyrs’ families, high peace council, house of people, religious scholars, civil society, youths, tribal elders, women and journalists as well as government officials, according to the statement.
The upcoming peace meeting is expected to be held in April 19-21 in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
