President Ghani condemns Kabul ‘brutal attack’

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a statement condemned terrorist attack on Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology (MCIT) here yesterday, the presidential press office said.
The president as quoted in the statement said that enemies of Afghanistan once again showed that they did not have any goal, rather to target public utilities, civil servants and bring about fears among the people.
The president said such brutal attacks would not prevent Afghans’ will to reach stability and development but would help Afghan National Defense and Security Forces to be further committed in uprooting the ugly phenomenon of terrorism and their safe havens, the statement said.
According to the statement, the president had instructed the line organs to spare no efforts in treatment of the victims. “The president extends condolences to the families of martyrs and prays for urgent recoveries of those injured,” the statement concluded as saying.
