President Ghani visits Eidgah Masjid to review reconstruction progress

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in his visit to the Eidgah Masjid yesterday praised all those working for reconstruction of the mosque. “It is my pleasure that our National Hero Ghazi Amanullah Khan declared the independence of the country from this site and reconstruction of this historic masjid delivers a clear message of evolution and continuity to countrymen,” the country’s President said, adding that continuity means that our Islamic and historic values will continue, while evolution means whatever destroyed, will be rebuilt in a better way. President Ghani also praised all those working in reconstruction of the masjid, instruction Capital Region Independent Development Authority (CRIDA) to appreciate those that have worked hard in reconstruction process of the masjid.
