Govt. to assist people displaced by recent floods: Dr. Abdullah

KABUL: Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with a number of elders, influential figures and youth of Sorubi district of Kabul province here at the Sapidar Palace yesterday, a statement said.
During the meeting, the Sorubi district elders briefed CE Abdullah on their problems, saying the recent floods have affected their routine life and caused them to leave their residential houses, the statement from CE Press office said.
They have also reiterated their support of the peace process, asking government to consider voices of people in the process. Thanking Sorubi elders and youth, Dr. Abdullah said government would assist those displaced by the recent flash floods, adding people’s rights to be considered in peace process, the statement added.
