President Ghani stresses unity, cooperation among Islamic countries

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani hosted Iftar reception for the ambassadors of the Islamic countries here at the Presidential Palace on Sunday evening, a statement said.
At the reception, which was also attended by First Lady Rula Ghani, the President briefed the ambassadors on upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit and Afghanistan’s participation to the event, the presidential press office said.
The ambassadors were also briefed on peace process, successful holding of Loya Jirga on Peace, reform in security and defense forces and Afghanistan’s development and self-sufficiency programs.
The president also emphasized on Islamic countries’ unity and cooperation; the statement added.
