Security problems of northern provinces to be discussed in NSC meeting, CE

KABUL: Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah participated in Balkh’s security commission meeting yesterday.
In the meeting, the country’s chief executive first praised Balkh leading officials for their efforts and adopting better security measures during Uzbek premier’s visit to the province, asking for appreciation of provincial civil and military officials, adding that lack of coordination in most of the country’s provinces have created problems, but fortunately close cooperation and coordination in Balkh were strong.
Chief executive assured that demands and suggestions of officials of the country’s northern provinces in particular Balkh, Jawzjan, Takhar and security problems of other northern provinces would be discussed in National Security Council meeting and principal attention would be paid to address the problems.
The country’s chief executive further said that national defense and security forces have repulsed dozens of the enemy’s attacks, adding that recent achievements of the country’s defense and security forces were appreciable as they showed sacrifices in the other day’s terrorist incident and saved many innocent civilians.
