NUG leaders denounce Nangarhar suicide attack

KABUL: The National Unity Government leaders condemned the suicide attack in a wedding ceremony in Nangarhar’s Pichargam district.
“The country’s enemies once again committed a crime by attacking a wedding ceremony which resulted to martyring and injuring of a number of our countrymen and women. With carrying such attacks, terrorists cannot achieve anything, but public’s hates,” the president was quoted in presidential statement.
Meanwhile the Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah also condemned the attack, saying the enemies could not tolerate our people’s happiness and sparing no effort to disturb their peaceful life.
“Enemies cannot divide us and our people supporting the security forces, as they would take revenge of such shameless attacks,” he said as quoted in a statement.
The NUG leaders instructed security organs to do more for arresting of those responsible for such attacks and asked health centers to extend necessary support for those injured.
Nine people were martyred and 12 others injured on Friday when a child was used to detonate a suicide bomb in the Pachiragam district of the province, bordering Pakistan.
