President Ghani stresses coordination among three forces

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Lower House Speaker Mir Rahman Rahmani at the presidential palace on Saturday evening, a statement said yesterday.
Congratulating Rahmani as the new house speaker, President Ghani expressed gratitude over solving of the speaker’s selection process based on the internal procedures of the lower house of Parliament, the presidential statement added.
Th president went on saying that has asked the line organs and the supreme court to be impartial while selecting of the house speaker and heads of the commissions.
“As the head of three forces, I would like to ask you to better coordinate your works while monitoring government’s affairs,” the President told new house speaker as quoted by the presidential statement.
Thanking President Ghani, speaker Rahmani promised to lead house affairs in a close coordination and cooperation with government, adding they would work hard with other two branches of executive and judiciary to further strengthen the country’s system, the statement added.
