Presidents Ghani confers Afghanistan’s honorary citizenship on ICRC head of physiotherapy section

KABUL: In a ceremony held at Arg on Sunday, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani awarded Afghanistan’s honorary citizenship to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) head of physiotherapy section Mr. Alberto Cairo who is an Italian citizen, the Presidential Palace said in a statement. During the ceremony, presidential decree in the respect was read out by the president’s cultural advisor Asadullah Ghazanfar, according to the statement.
After conferring the country’s citizenship on Mr. Cairo, the president said that he has hardly made effort for 28 years to work for war victims, civilians and security forces so they get recovered and assume working.
