Afghan Ariana Airlines should reach self-sufficiency, President Ghani

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a meeting with officials of the Afghan Ariana Airline Company reviewed ways for revival and reaching the company to self-sufficiency.
In the meeting, officials of the company first delivered their working report, overall situation, problems and challenges facing the company to the President.
After hearing their report, the country’s President said that the Afghan Ariana Airline Company was a national company and should reach self-sufficiency.
Pointing that the company was representing the country in a better way, President Ghani said economic and income plans of the company including the five-year plan for dispatching pilgrims to Saudi Arabia should be prepared and a commission should be formed to review all problems and challenges facing the company and deliver its suggestions so that the company once again stood on its feet.
The country’s President also stressed that the Afghan Ariana Airline should reach self-sufficiency and resume its flights to EU member countries.
