President Ghani condoles demise of India’s former external minister

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a message has condoled the demise of India’s former minister of external affairs Sushma Swaraj.
“Mrs. Swaraj as one of the most prominent and pioneering politicians of India had shown remarkable dedication to serve her country and people. I am confident the Indian nation will always remember her for her significant achievements and contribution,” said President Ghani in his message.
The message said that she was a good friend of Afghanistan and always aspired the best for the Afghan people.
“At this moment of tragedy, I share the Indian nations grief while my thoughts are with her family; therefore, on behalf of Afghanistan people and nation, I extend my heartful sympathies to the President, Prime Minister and the people of India,” President Ghani added.
In his message the country’s President wished good health for President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and further prosperity and progress for the great nation of India.
