Public support of ANDSF essential to suppress enemies

Fighting terrorism for the peace and stability not only in Afghanistan, but the whole region, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) have paid high sacrifices and triggered an outpouring of national grief.
The militant groupings, mainly the Taliban and Daesh terrorists are widely involved in war crime and violated the humanitarian law. They sought to spill the blood of both combatants and non-combatants without an iota of humanity.
Considering the Afghan forces’ role in war on terror and their commitments to a peaceful Afghanistan, Public support has been widely increased for ANDSF. The Afghan soldiers have shown their bravery and gained national honor for the country throughout the history and will do so in the future as well.
In a meeting with Police Deployment and Management Center personnel (DMC) here the other day, President Ghani thanked the entire police personnel of the country for their efforts to tighten security of Afghanistan’s 100th Independence Anniversary Day which was marked at the capital and provinces of the country. “Peace is a need of the country, but peace restoration will not change our treaties with our international partners,” said the President adding that after peace agreement, financing, equipment, training and supporting the country’s police personnel would continue.
The President said: “The country’s security and defense forces will continue fighting any threats with all power until peace is restored.” “Daesh and all terrorism affiliated terrorist networks should be suppressed and eliminated, anywhere found, with the help of the people,” said the President. The President asked the entire police personnel for ensuring security of the Presidential Election as they are successful in the battlefield.
The counter terrorism efforts of the security and defense forces and cracking down the insurgents leave no place for any concern. Despite complications of war in Afghanistan and open and secret supports from terrorists in the region, the Afghan security forces have been passing a dangerous year but didn’t let the enemies to achieve their ominous goal in the country.
Besides the national army, police have also been involved in counter-terrorism operations. Although their main responsibility is to implement rule of law, but the forces have widely been involved in war with the militants.
Considering their role and sacrifices, the ongoing peace efforts shouldn’t be in such a way that harm the achievements made in last 18 years as well as to deteriorate the situation and pave the way for aliens to interfere in domestic affairs of Afghanistan.
Taliban should give up insurgency and avoid unbiased comments against the Afghan people and the government, rather help the peace process and bring about safe and sound environment for the war-suffered nation. If they are not doing so, then should be ready and face harsh response of the Afghan forces.
There is public support for our heroes and each and every Afghans do have special respect to them. Supporting the Afghan forces can not only help ensure better security in Afghanistan but would also ease counterterrorism efforts of the international community.
Meanwhile the people should spare no efforts in supporting their heroes. They are deserved to be respected, supported and equipped to suppress the enemies in each and every corner of the country. They must be paid enough heed and the life and dignity of their families should be ensured forever.
