Torkham crossing to remain open round the clock from Monday

The Torkham crossing which connects Afghanistan and Pakistan in the eastern province of Nangarhar will remain open 24/7 from today, Monday, on experimental basis, Pakistani media reported.
Afghan Ministry of Finance said the crossing is opened during days but will confirm its round the clock opening later in the day.
Sources quoted by Pakistani media said the Torkham crossing will remain opened 24/7 for two to three weeks.
Pakistani media quoted sources as saying that the project of keeping the border open round the clock has been initiated on the directions of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan.
